Rumor: WWE Reportedly Taped Crown Jewel Post-Show Early

Summary: Unconfirmed: False Finish reports that WWE recorded most Crown Jewel post-show promos during the show on Saturday, Nov. 7, so talent and crew could leave Riyadh at once. Only Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn waited. WWE has not commented.

This is a rumor and it is not confirmed. False Finish, an account on X, reports that all but two of the promos on WWE's Crown Jewel post-show were recorded while the event was still running. WWE has not commented that we could find.

The quick version

  • Not confirmed by WWE.
  • Reliability: Single source, not confirmed. False Finish is the origin. Ringside News, 411Mania, Cultaholic and Sportskeeda relayed it. We did not read the original post.
  • The reported exceptions are Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn, whose match closed the show.

What is being reported

Ringside News, relaying False Finish on Nov. 7, says the promos from Cody Rhodes, Tiffany Stratton, and Penta and Je'Von Evans that aired on the post-show were recorded during the event. That would mean Rhodes spoke about his Last Man Standing win over Randy Orton before the show was over. Cultaholic says the point was to let crew and talent pack up and leave as soon as the show ended. Sportskeeda says the same.

Reigns and Zayn are named as the exceptions because they were in the main event, Ringside News says.

Why it may fit

WWE took a smaller crew than usual to Riyadh. WrestleZone reported on Nov. 6, citing PWInsider, that much of the production would be run from WWE's Stamford, Conn., headquarters. We covered that report and one on crew hazard pay. Those are also unconfirmed. We did not find an on-the-record WWE reason for how the post-show was made.

What we know for certain

The post-show aired after Crown Jewel, and the results are in our results story. We cannot tell from the broadcast which promos were recorded when.

What would confirm or kill it

A WWE comment, or a wrestler or crew member saying when the promos were shot, would settle it. We will update this story if either appears.
