Match notes

Rhodes vs. Orton. Both men used tables, steps, a ladder and the crowd area. Orton landed a low blow late, Rhodes answered with three Cross Rhodes, and Orton was cut open when his head hit the ring steps, per POST Wrestling. Rhodes stopped the referee's count at nine, then punted him. POST gives 27:24. Our earlier opener story gave 27:20 from ProWrestling.net.

Penta and Evans vs. The Vision. Maxxine Dupri put Theory's foot on the ropes to stop a pin. Reed then interfered and hit Penta with a Death Valley Driver. The lights went out, Femi's music played, and he put Reed through a table from the stage. Penta hit a Mexican Destroyer on Theory and Evans pinned him. See our full story.

Green vs. Morgan. Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez appeared at ringside. Morgan sent them away, and Green countered Oblivion into the pin. Triple H presented Green with the belt, Green spoke to the crowd, and Morgan attacked her from behind.

Stratton's cash-in. Stratton came out as if to help Green, hit Morgan with the briefcase, then turned and hit Green with it. The match was made official and she won with a moonsault. Quotes and background are in our Stratton story.

Reigns vs. Zayn. Zayn had near falls with a Blue Thunder Bomb and a Helluva Kick. A referee was knocked down by a Superman Punch, and a second official arrived late enough for Reigns to kick out. Zayn then took out the second official. Accounts differ on whether that was on purpose. Zayn fetched his WWE Championship belt, but Reigns stopped him with a Superman Punch and a spear, and Zayn kicked out. Zayn countered a Superman Punch with an Exploder, but a second spear ended it.

Moments that mattered

  • Reigns and Zayn. Zayn stopped Triple H's belt presentation and offered a handshake. POST Wrestling says Reigns first knocked the hand away, then hugged him. They shook hands and raised each other's arms. Triple H gave Zayn back the Undisputed WWE Championship and gave Reigns the Crown Jewel belt and ring. Zayn said on the post-show: "But I got what I needed. I got the respect that I deserve from that man," per Fightful.
  • Oba Femi. He returned during the tag match. Triple H posted: "Taking over the world... Congratulations to the NEW @WWE World Tag Team Champions PENTA and Je'von Evans," per Wrestling Inc.
