Creed Brothers Have Left WWE After Their Deals Expired
Summary: Julius and Brutus Creed have left WWE because their contracts expired, Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp said on Nov. 6. He called it a mutual parting. WWE has not issued a statement.
The quick version
- Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select said on Friday, Nov. 6, that the Creeds have left WWE and that it "appears to be a mutual parting of ways as their deal has expired."
- WWE.com now describes both brothers as "WWE alumni." WWE has not announced the exit.
- Their last match was a Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic quarterfinal loss on NXT on Oct. 20.
Julius and Brutus Creed are no longer with WWE. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select said so on Friday, Nov. 6, in a post on X: "The Creeds have left WWE, Fightful Select has confirmed. It appears to be a mutual parting of ways as their deal has expired." Fightful, Wrestling Inc and Ringside News all carried the news.
This updates our earlier story, WWE.com Now Lists the Creed Brothers as Alumni, which could not say whether they had left.
What we can see ourselves
The WWE.com profile pages for both brothers describe them as "WWE alumni" in the page description. We checked both on Nov. 6. WWE has not put out a statement that we could find, and we have not asked WWE or the brothers for comment.
Why it may not have been a surprise
Ringside News quotes Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live: "Even before today, there had been a belief in WWE that the Creeds were likely done after the Dusty Cup. Their contracts were coming due." We did not hear the show ourselves. It is Alvarez's account, not an official one.
Their run
- They signed with WWE in 2021 and won the NXT Tag Team Championship in 2022, per Fightful and Wrestling Inc.
- They moved to the main roster and aligned with Chad Gable. Their last Raw match was a loss on May 18, per Wrestling Inc.
- They returned to NXT in September and entered the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Hank Walker and Tank Ledger beat them in the quarterfinals on Oct. 20, per Fightful and Wrestling Inc.
What to watch
Where they go next. No outlet we read names a new promotion, and neither brother has said anything we could find.
