This is a rumor and it is not confirmed. WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reports that WWE plans a Christmas version of Danhausen, called "Santahausen," as part of a holiday merchandise push.

The quick version

  • Not confirmed by WWE.
  • Reliability: Single source, not confirmed.
  • The report names T-shirts, hoodies, puppets and magnets. It gives no price or release date.

What is being reported

Fightful posted on Nov. 5: "Following the tremendous success of Danhausen during Halloween, WWE is planning to roll out 'Santahausen' Christmas-themed merch ahead of the holidays, @WrestleVotes Radio on @FightfulSelect has learned." More detail is for Select subscribers, which we could not read.

F4W Online (Shounak Chakrabarti) says WWE noticed strong sales of Danhausen merchandise around Halloween. It says sources close to the plan told WrestleVotes that Danhausen is also expected to get a holiday makeover in WWE's marketing. F4W lists T-shirts, hoodies, puppets, magnets and other holiday items as expected in the line, and says WWE has high hopes for it. F4W says no price or other details are confirmed. Cageside Seats relayed the report on Nov. 6.

What we know for certain

  • Danhausen was part of WWE NXT Halloween Havoc on Oct. 31. F4W's photo caption places him there with the Mini Danhausens.
  • Danhausen won a Trick or Treat Street Fight over Kit Wilson on that card, per Cageside Seats, as noted in our earlier story on the Gable-Punk finish.
  • We did not find a WWE Shop listing or a WWE announcement for Santahausen. We did not check WWE Shop's Danhausen sales, and no sales figures have been published in the reports we read.

What would confirm or kill it

A WWE Shop listing or a WWE social post would confirm it. If nothing appears by mid-December, the report would not have matched events. If WWE announces, we will relabel this story and change the headline.
