This is a rumor and it is not confirmed. Fightful Select reports that Jacob Fatu is expected to return to WWE to join The Bloodline for a WarGames match at Survivor Series on Saturday, Nov. 28. WWE has not announced his return or the match.
The quick version
- Not confirmed by WWE.
- Reliability: Two or more sources, not confirmed. Fightful Select and PWInsider both point to a return. They may share contacts, so we count them with care.
- Fightful Select says the match is planned but not yet official.
What is being reported
Fightful Select said on Saturday, Nov. 7, in its Crown Jewel scoops thread, that Fatu "is expected to return" to join The Bloodline for WarGames. It said the match "is currently planned, but has yet to be officially announced." The full thread is for paying members, so we have read only what Fightful posted publicly.
Cultaholic reported on Nov. 4 that PWInsider had said Fatu's return "is not far off" and that he filmed material on Tuesday, Nov. 3, alongside other wrestlers expected in WarGames. Cultaholic's version of the lineup is Roman Reigns, Fatu, Solo Sikoa, Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso against Royce Keys, Carmelo Hayes, Cruz Montana, Bronco Nima and Lucien Price. We did not read PWInsider's original item.
What we know for certain
- Fatu has been off WWE television since the Sept. 28 Raw, when Jaida Parker ran him over the night she joined The 946, per Fightful.
- Survivor Series: WarGames is Saturday, Nov. 28, at Daikin Park in Houston, per WWE.com.
- WWE has not announced a WarGames card or a return date for Fatu.
An earlier rumor from Dave Meltzer also put Fatu on the Bloodline side. See our story. The new reports add that Fatu is expected back, not only that he is named.
What would confirm or kill it
A WWE announcement of Fatu's return or of the WarGames lineup would confirm it. A different team on Nov. 28, or no sign of Fatu in the next few weeks, would weaken it. Plans can change before the show.
