Stratton Cashes In on Green to Win WWE Women's Title

Tiffany Stratton turned on Chelsea Green and cashed in her Women's Money in the Bank contract to win the WWE Women's Championship at WWE Crown Jewel on Saturday, Nov. 7, in Riyadh, per POST Wrestling and Fightful. It makes her a two-time WWE Women's Champion.

How it happened

Green had beaten Women's World Champion Liv Morgan with a roll-up to win the Women's Crown Jewel Championship, per POST Wrestling. Triple H gave her the belt and ring. Morgan then attacked her from behind.

Stratton ran out with the briefcase. POST Wrestling says she looked to be making the save, hit Morgan with the case and signaled a cash-in on her. Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez returned to stop her, and Green helped fight them off. Then Stratton hit Green with the briefcase and said she would cash in on the WWE Women's Champion instead.

The match was made official. Stratton hit the Prettiest Moonsault Ever and pinned Green, per POST Wrestling and Wrestling Inc. She left the ring with both belts.

What they said

Green spoke on the Crown Jewel post-show. "I didn't just lose my championship, but I lost a friend," she said, per Fightful. She added: "I'm gonna go home and I'm gonna regroup."

Stratton said: "Of course Tiffany Stratton was gonna go out there and hit her Prettiest Moonsault Ever and become a Tiffy two-time WWE Women's Champion." She added: "I feel like it looks better on me anyway," per Fightful. (H/T Fightful for the transcription.)

Background

Stratton won the women's Money in the Bank briefcase this year. F4W Online, relaying Fightful Select on Nov. 6, said WWE's long-term plan had been for her to win it and then challenge Green. F4W says Stratton and Green had stayed friends since, and that Stratton's earlier cash-in attempts on Morgan were stopped by Judgment Day.
