The quick version

  • Atticus Cogar won the GCW World Championship from Joseph Sawyer in the main event of GCW The Crossroads on Saturday, Nov. 7, per Fightful and PWInsider.
  • The finish: Cogar hit an air raid crash through a glass pane, then a side headlock DDT onto the glass-filled canvas, per Fightful.

Atticus Cogar is the GCW World Champion again. Fightful reported that he beat Joseph Sawyer in the main event of GCW The Crossroads on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, and PWInsider carried the same result at 11:55 PM ET. Sawyer wrestles for TNA as one half of syX, and he had held the GCW title since Aug. 15.

How it ended

Fightful says Cogar hit the air raid crash through a glass pane and followed it with the side headlock DDT onto the glass-filled canvas for the win. Sawyer had said before the match that if he won, he would take the title with him.

Mance Warner and EFFY then came to the ring and attacked Cogar, cutting the celebration short, per Fightful. Fightful says neither man had wrestled for GCW since April, during WrestleMania weekend. The report does not say why they came back or what GCW has planned for them.

How the match was made

Sawyer won the title from Cogar on Aug. 15 at GCW Homecoming, per Fightful. Cogar had held it for 267 days and made 25 defenses, Fightful said then.

On Sept. 26 at GCW Score, Sawyer walked out of a title defense against John Jeffrey after an apparent knee injury, per Fightful. Cogar called him out on Oct. 3, and Sawyer answered on social media. On Oct. 11, Fightful reported that Sawyer appeared on a video screen at GCW Fight and said he would put the title on the line on Nov. 7 in a match with no rules. The post-show reports we read do not say whether the match was officially made that way.

What we do not know

  • The match time, and the rest of the card. We found one detailed report and one short one.
  • The building. Fightful's Aug. 20 roundup said GCW would return to Indy in November with The Crossroads, and Cageside Seats listed an 8 PM ET start. The post-show reports do not name the venue.
  • Whether GCW has announced Cogar's first defense. It had not, in anything we read.

What to watch

Sawyer and his partner Samuel Shaw face Matt Hardy and Moose at TNA Destination X on Sunday, Nov. 15, in Edmonton. See our story. GCW's last show we covered was Dead on Arrival on Nov. 6. See those results.
