What is being reported
WrestleZone says False Finish wrote that "sources tell False Finish that there have been discussions regarding the possibility of Michael Chandler having a match in WWE." WrestleZone's story was published on Friday, Nov. 6. We found the False Finish post through search and did not read all of it. We have not heard from WWE, Chandler or UFC.
The report follows Chandler's appearance on the Nov. 4 NXT, where he was the special guest referee for the unsanctioned match between Cruz Montana and Dion Lennox. See our NXT results. WrestleZone says he stopped Montana from slamming Lennox onto exposed concrete.
What we know for certain
- Chandler refereed on NXT on Nov. 4, per WWE.com as cited in our results story.
- WrestleZone says he appeared on Raw in 2024 and visited the WWE Performance Center earlier this year. We did not check either.
- WrestleZone says Chandler has said he is open to pro wrestling. WWE and UFC share an owner, TKO Group Holdings, per WrestleZone.
What would confirm or kill it
A WWE announcement of Chandler in a match, or a statement from Chandler, would confirm it. A statement that WWE has no such plan would weaken it. Talks can happen without leading to a match.
