What is being reported
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported on Nov. 5 that the plans "include a commemorative championship belt, special merchandise releases, and social media campaigns honoring the anniversary of his 1996 Survivor Series debut," as Fightful's post quotes it on F4W Online. SEScoops and Cageside Seats relayed the report. We could not read the Fightful Select original, which is for subscribers.
SEScoops says no design, price or release date has been reported. It also says no appearance by The Rock has been reported as part of the celebration. It adds that WrestleVotes Radio reported in September that WWE creative was working on the assumption he would be unavailable for any major WrestleMania 43 storyline, and that plans involving him can change quickly.
What we know for certain
- The Rock, then Rocky Maivia, made his in-ring WWE debut on Nov. 17, 1996, at Survivor Series in Madison Square Garden, per SEScoops and F4W Online.
- Survivor Series: WarGames is Saturday, Nov. 28, in Houston, per Fightful's event list and SEScoops.
- SEScoops says WWE has made anniversary belts a regular shop product, citing a Triple H 30th anniversary series in April 2025 and an nWo 30th anniversary belt in July. We did not check WWE Shop's prices.
- We did not find a WWE announcement of any Rock anniversary plans.
What would confirm or kill it
A WWE announcement or WWE Shop listing for a Rock 30th anniversary belt would confirm it. No sign of one by the end of November would not match this report. If WWE announces, we will relabel this story and change the headline.
