The quick version

  • Hauser announced the exit himself, on Instagram on Sunday, Nov. 1. He said he left "late last week."

Paul Walter Hauser has left Major League Wrestling. The actor, who also wrestles, announced it in an Instagram post on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026, according to POST Wrestling, F4W Online and Wrestling Inc. MLW holds its first pay-per-view in seven years, Saturday Night SuperFight, on Nov. 7.

What he said

Per the text POST Wrestling and F4W Online published, Hauser wrote: "With a heavy heart, but a clear mind, I said goodbye to the MLW family late last week." He said he wanted to head off speculation: "my decision was simply rooted in creative differences. The truest, & least sexy, answer."

He thanked MLW founder Court Bauer, the production team and the wrestlers who worked with him. He also wrote that he did not think any of his best matches were in MLW, "but I did the best I could with what I had at the time," per the text Wrestling Inc and eWrestlingNews published.

His role

POST Wrestling reports MLW named Hauser an executive producer in March 2025, working on creative and production as well as appearing on screen. MLW was still listing him as one when it announced its Tubi distribution deal in September. His last MLW match was at the Sept. 12 television tapings, a win over Cody Fluffman, per POST Wrestling.

What is not known

  • Whether MLW has responded. We found no MLW statement.
  • Whether Hauser will wrestle elsewhere. Ringside News says that is unclear.
  • Whether he was booked for SuperFight. Wrestling Inc says his exit means one less face at the show, but we did not find him on a published card.
