TNA announced on Friday, Nov. 6 that Rey Horus is returning to the company as an entrant in the World X-Cup at Destination X. TNA's post on X called it a return and said the show will be live on pay-per-view and TNA+ on Nov. 15 from the Edmonton EXPO Centre. Fightful also reported it.
What we know
Fightful says this is Horus's first TNA match since August 2022, when he wrestled Black Taurus, Laredo Kid and Trey Miguel in a four-way on iMPACT. TNA's post did not give a reason for the return or say whether it is a one-night appearance.
The World X-Cup is built around two four-way matches, with the two winners meeting in a final later in the night, per Fightful's card. Fightful lists Horus in the first four-way against three opponents still to be named. Its card showed Horus as the only named entrant at the time. Wikipedia's Destination X page says Ricky Sosa (Belgium) and Fabian Aichner (Italy) announced entries after the World X-Cup was revealed on Oct. 22. We have not confirmed that with TNA, so the full field is still not clear to us.
The Destination X card so far
Fightful lists these matches as of Nov. 6:
- TNA World Championship: Leon Slater (c) vs. Trey Miguel
- TNA Knockouts World Championship: Indi Hartwell (c) vs. Shayna Baszler
- syX (Joseph Sawyer and Samuel Shaw) vs. Matt Hardy and Moose
- Women's Ultimate X match, winner gets a Knockouts World Title shot: participants not named
- Men's Ultimate X match, winner gets an X Division Title shot: participants not named
- World X-Cup: two four-way matches and a final
See our Destination X card story for how Hardy and Moose vs. syX was set.
What to watch
TNA has to name the rest of the X-Cup field. Its events page lists Destination X at 4 PM local time on Sunday, Nov. 15, and a Thursday Night iMPACT taping in Calgary on Nov. 18.
