Dynamite Draws 792,000 and Beats NXT's 552,000 Head to Head

Summary: AEW Dynamite's Blood and Guts show drew 792,000 viewers on TBS on Nov. 4, ahead of WWE NXT's 552,000 on The CW, F4W Online reported Nov. 6. NXT was moved to Wednesday for election coverage.

The quick version

  • Dynamite averaged 792,000 viewers and a 0.24 rating in the 18-49 demo on Wednesday, Nov. 4, per F4W Online.
  • NXT, moved to Wednesday because The CW covered election results on Tuesday, averaged 552,000 viewers and a 0.13.
  • HBO Max viewing is not counted. Fightful says those figures were not available.

AEW Dynamite beat WWE NXT in total viewers and in the 18-49 demo on Wednesday, Nov. 4, when the two shows went head to head. F4W Online (Paul Fontaine) reported the numbers on Nov. 6. Fightful, citing Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, and Wrestlenomics reported the same figures.

The numbers

  • AEW Dynamite, TBS: 792,000 viewers, 0.24 in the 18-49 demo. That is up 27.7% from 620,000 on Oct. 28, which ran against the World Series, per F4W.
  • WWE NXT, The CW: 552,000 viewers, 0.13 in the demo. That is up 6.2% from 520,000 the week before, per F4W.

Dynamite was the Blood and Guts special, with a men's and a women's match from Jacksonville, Florida. NXT had John Cena, Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens on the show, and CM Punk challenged Grayson Waller for the NXT Championship. Our results story covers it: NXT Results: Waller Retains Over Punk as Owens Interferes.

How it compares

F4W says Dynamite had its biggest audience since the Sept. 30 show, which drew 899,000, and that the 0.24 ties its best demo number since July 24, 2024. It says NXT's audience was the third lowest it has had since July 14, but its demo number was the second highest since Sept. 1. F4W puts NXT's 10-week average at 653,700 viewers against Dynamite's 691,300.

What the numbers leave out

Dynamite is also simulcast on HBO Max, and those viewers are not in the TBS figure. We did not see the Nielsen data ourselves, and Wrestlenomics' full Dynamite report is behind a paywall, so we are relying on F4W's write-up and the figures the other outlets quote.
