WWE’s Target Date For Fans, Backstage Story On Eddie Kingston, Why McMahon Needs Trump To Win Reelection

Given the current situation of the world as we know it, do you think wrestling will ever go back to how it used to be with packed arenas and fun filled afternoons?

Yes, things will be back to normal it is just a question of when. Vince McMahon had hoped to get fans back in arenas before the end of the year, which is not going to happen. They will look to do so at the beginning of next year with a goal of WrestleMania 37 being able to be at capacity. You know how we say things in wrestling are subject to change? That is how things are with COVID-19. There are positives even with infections going up. Testing is better, as is treatment. The hope is there will be a vaccine sooner rather than later. Patience is important but I am hopeful things will be back to normal sometime in 2021.

How many wrestlers were in the movie “Over The Top?”

I am assuming you are talking about the 1987 film starring Sylvester Stallone. Terry Funk, Scott Norton and “Big Mo” Reggie Bennett are three professional wrestlers that I know were in it.

What are your thoughts on Eddie Kingston’s work in AEW so far?

Eddie Kingston has been fantastic and has also impressed AEW officials. Prior to his debut match against Cody, Tony Schiavone tried to rib him by saying he better not “f— up” and Kingston told him when he knew him better he was going to bump him. WWE was interested following his match on Dynamite but he ultimately chose AEW, where he has had a great opportunity. Kingston is a savvy veteran that has added value to the AEW roster.

Who is the best wrestler/character not in WWE currently? I say Sami Callihan.

Sami Callihan is a hard name to argue with. I am going to exclude AEW talent from this answer and just name some others I like. Jay White is someone I enjoy watching perform, as is Jacob Fatu. There are so many high work rate talents I could name but others would include Marty Scurll, Will Ospreay and Kazuchika Okada.

Do you think the McMahons will still support Donald Trump like they do now if he isn’t re-elected?

Vince McMahon and Donald Trump have been very close friends for many years. That will not change based on the outcome of the 2020 United States Presidential Election but Linda McMahon is working very hard to make him a two-term president. The Trump presidency has benefitted Vince greatly and he is even more invested in this election, considering higher profile politicians like Andrew Yang are criticizing his classification of talent. Should Joe Biden get elected, WWE could face some significant challenges in how they classify talent.
