Storyline Developments & Promo Highlights:

  • This week’s show opened with MizTV. John Morrison and The Miz came out and Miz said “anything can happen” in the six-man tag match, while holding up the Money in the Bank briefcase. He also plugged the season premiere of Miz and Mrs. for Thursday, noting a bonus episode airs after Raw. WWE Champion Randy Orton came out and was offended Miz acted like his reality show was more important than a match with him in it. Orton talked about Miz getting kicked out of the locker room and Morrison going to work for the minor leagues. He turned his back on Miz and told him to take the WWE Championship. Miz and Morrison instead talked about tonight being a big deal for all of them.  Miz said if they were victorious, he and Morrison might be in line for a Raw tag title shot. Kofi Kingston and Zavier Woods came out. Orton gave Kofi an RKO and Miz and Morrison cleared them out of the ring. Drew McIntyre came out but he was also beaten down. Orton appeared annoyed.
  • The Undertaker is set to appear live at Survivor Series for his Finale Farewell.
  • AJ Styles shook Adam Pearce’s hand backstage and refused to explain why in an interview with Charly Caruso. Sheamus showed up and was upset about Riddle qualifying for Team Raw at Survivor Series. Styles stated they have to work together and called a team meeting for later. Braun Strowman came into the picture and stated Styles is not his captain, a sentiment shared by Shemaus.
  • Mustafa Ali cut a promo with the other Retribution members.
  • The Hurt Business were shown backstage when Drew Gulak, dressed in a suit, made a play to join the faction. MVP stated they were not accepting applications. Lashley ripped off Gulak’s clip-on tie and beat him up. R-Truth showed up an pinned him to win the WWE 24/7 Championship.
  • AJ Styles and the big man came out for the team meeting. He introduced team members Keith Lee, Riddle, Sheamus and Braun Strowman. Sheamus and Lee argued. Riddle gave them all names for Survivor Series. Styles explained to Sheamus that Jey Uso is tearing it up on SmackDown and tried to fire up Lee about their opponents. Everyone agreed to work together but got upset when Styles billed himself as team captain of Team Raw. Styles revealed Pearce sanctioned Strowman and Sheamus vs. Riddle and Lee with Styles as the guest referee.
  • Alexa Bliss plucked petals from flowers when Nikki Cross came up. Bliss talked up her role on the Firefly Funhouse. Cross apologized for now being there for her and for allowing Bray Wyatt to sink his claws into her. Cross said she needed to choose. Bliss stated, “I choose him.”
  • Drew McIntyre was shown backstage when Sheamus came in and vented about his Team Raw teammates. Sheamus talked about McIntyre teaming up with New Day. Sheamus wants to team up with McIntyre again like in the old says. McIntyre said those were some of the best times of his life. Sheamus indicated they would go for a pint later. McIntyre said after he regains his title.
  • Adam Pearce told Randy Orton he will defend the WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre next week on Raw. He stated he was just relaying the message. Orton told Pearce to tell the staff they can go to hell.

Match Results:

1) Riddle beat Elias and Jeff Hardy in a Triple Threat match to earn the final spot on Team Raw at Survivor Series. Riddle hit the Bro Derek on Elias and pinned Hardy to get the win. Riddle’s first name has officially been dropped.

2) Shayna Baszler w/Nia Jax beat Lana. Baslzer made her tape in the Kirifuda Clutch. Jax attempted to put Lana through a table but Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke stopped her.

3) Keith Lee and Riddle beat Braun Strowman and Sheamus with AJ Styles as referee. Riddle rolled up Sheamus for the pinfall victory.

4) Bobby Lashley w/MVP beat Titus O’Neil to retain the WWE United States Championship. He put him in the Hurt Lock to get the submission victory.

5) WWE Raw Women’s Champion Asuka beat Nia Jax by disqualification in a non-title match after interference from Shayna Baszler

6) R-Truth beat Tucker, Gran Metalik, Lince Dorado, Drew Gulak, Akira Tozawa and Erik in a seven-way for the WWE 24/7 Championship.

7) Mustafa Ali w/Retribution beat Ricochet. Ali made him tap out in the Koji Clutch for the submission victory.

8) Drew McIntyre, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods beat Randy Orton, The Miz and John Morrison. McIntyre hit the Claymore kick on Morrison after a heatbutt to get the pinfall victory. After the match, McIntyre yelled at Orton to close the show.
