WWE Has Cancelled Their Trademark On Cody Rhodes’ Name

WWE owned the Cody Rhodes’ name following his departure from the company. That is why he simply went by ”Cody” in AEW. However, it seems that will finally be changing.

According to a report by Heel By Nature, WWE has cancelled their trademark on Cody Rhodes’ name. This will allow him to call his attorney Michael Dockins and have another trademark made.

WWE filed a cancellation notice for the trademark on November 2nd, which is certainly good news for Rhodes. He worked very hard to retain ownership of his name. However, he was unable to get trademarks for the Match Beyond, Bash at the Beach, WarGames,

Following this week’s AEW Dynamite, Cody Rhodes announced to the live crowd that he is now a two-name wrestler once again.
