Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman come out to officially declare Roman as the tribal chief.

Roman is still upset that Jey did not call him the tribal chief and calls out his Cousin. Roman says Clash of Champions was the worst night of his career because he didn’t want to do what he did to Jey and all he wanted was to give Jey a big payday and put his name on the marquee, and Jey embarrassed the family by not acknowledging Roman as the tribal chief.

Roman tells Jey he can have another shot at the WWE Universal Championship at Hell in a Cell, but it will have real consequences and will have the highest stakes of any match in WWE history. Jey accepts the challenge. AJ Styles then comes out after Roman leaves and confronts Jey in the ring and says someone better should challenge for the title, and then the two brawl.

AJ Styles vs Jey Uso:

Jey Uso beats AJ Styles with a series of superkicks followed up by the flying Uso splash.

Sami Zayn is backstage and says he knows people expect him to gloat after winning one of the greatest ladder matches in WWE history and they expect him to gloat about how he was right that he was the rightful champion. He talks about how he never should have had to put his body on the line and blames the fans for not speaking up when he was stripped of the title. He then throws one of the IC title belts in the trash can.

John Morrison vs Otis

Otis cuts a promo before the match and says he’s going to defend himself next week in the court of law against Miz and Morrison’s efforts to take his Money in the Bank briefcase.

Otis defeats John Morrison in a quick match that saw Otis dominate Morrison and win the match with an Otis bomb off the turnbuckle.

Big E cuts a promo via video before Sheamus’s match, and challenges Sheamus to a fall count anywhere match next week on SmackDown.

Sheamus vs Shorty G 

The match ends much like the last one with Sheamus beating Shorty G very quickly with two Brouge Kick’s.

KO Show with special guest Alexa Bliss

Owens says he’s been watching SmackDown and has noticed a change in Alexa Bliss and he wants to know why. Alexa, clearly in a different state of mind, tells Kevin that people change and asks Kevin if he wants to change and be better. Kevin Owens says he hopes that by talking to Alexa he can try and figure out why Aleister Black has changed and is attacking him. Alexa asks KO if he’s ever been around “Him” and goes on to describe how captivating “He” can be.

KO tells Alexa she’s been brain washed and Alexa agrees and says she has been cleansed by “Him”. Owens asks if he’s here, and Alexa says he is everywhere. Alexa tells Owens to “Let Him In” as the lights go down and that all to familiar sound plays throughout the arena. As the blood red lights come back on, The Fiend is in the ring and has Kevin Owens in the Mandible Claw as Alexa Bliss watches. The Fiend then goes over to Bliss and holds out his hand. She accepts his hand and smiles at the camera as the segment ends.

King Corbin, Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura vs Matt Riddle, Lince Dorado & Gran Metalik

The match barely gets going before Kalisto comes out yelling at his teammates that they forgot him. After a back and forth contest, the match breaks down with both teams entering the ring at will. In all the commotion, Kalisto hits Lince Dorado with a kick and Cesaro tries to capitalize but Riddle hits him with a running knee and pins him with the Bro-Derek.

Kalisto gets in the ring and is mad at Riddle for teaming up with his group members and then tries to celebrate with them when Lince rushes into the ring and get’s in Kalisto’s face for kicking him. Riddle gets in-between the two to try and calm them down.

The mysterious women in the promos on SmackDown is revealed as Carmella. She says she forgot who she was along the way and says she knows who to blame, and that’s the fans. She promises to make an impact no matter were she gets traded to.

Sasha Banks is in the ring and says Bayley should have known that not being cleared would not stop Sasha from beating her down and calls her a coward. Sasha says Bayley used her to try to become the longest reigning SmackDown Women’s champion in history. Sasha says next week it’s Sasha vs Bayley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Jeff Hardy vs Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship

Sami Zayn and Jeff Hardy fight back and forth when Jeff notices the top turnbuckle pad is missing. The two brawl on the outside with Jeff crashing and burning after a failed running kick that Sami dodged. After brawling back inside the ring the two hit their signature moves with Sami hitting two Blue Thunder Bombs but is unable to keep Hardy down for the three count.

Jeff goes for a Swanton Bomb but Sami gets his knees up. Jeff rolls into the corner with the exposed turnbuckle and Sami goes for the Helluva Kick but Jeff dodges and attempts a twist of fate. Sami counters and tries to send Jeff into the turnbuckle but Jeff manages to avert disaster and goes to the top to hit Whisper in the Wind. Sami pulls Jeff down face first into the exposed turnbuckle and Sami Zayn gets the pin to retain his title.
