During his press conference earlier today, Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings had the following to say in response to WWE continuing to operate:
“Initially there was a review that was done and they were not initially deemed an essential business. With some conversations with the Governor’s office regarding the Governor’s order, they were deemed an essential business. So, therefore, they were allowed to remain open.”
So, this is why WWE will continue airing live on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Personally speaking, I think money had a hand in this as Florida gets major kickbacks from WWE in the state. How WWE was deemed essential and AEW wasn’t is beyond me!
