Social media was buzzing yesterday over the t-shirt design WWE recently released for Jordan Myles.
As Richard previously noted, the NXT star took to Twitter to express his frustration over the apparent racist design.
WWE released a statement to PWInsider on Sunday night, claiming that Myles approved the t-shirt design and later requested the change.
“Albert Hardie Jr. (aka Jordan Myles) approved this t-shirt for sale. As always, we work collaboratively with all of our performers to develop logos and merchandise designs and get their input and approval before proceeding. This was the same process with Albert, and we responded swiftly once he later requested that the logo/t-shirt be redesigned. No t-shirts were sold.”
Myles has yet to respond to the statement. Several wrestling names and fans on Twitter have changed their profile picture to black and white in support of Myles.
