The rumors are true, according to Ryan Satin of Fox Sports. WWE will move its ThunderDome from Amway Center in Orlando to Tropicana Field in the Tampa Bay area beginning with the December 11th edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

Despite the move, WWE will continue to operate on a closed set with no fans in attendance at this time.
“WWE also made it clear that Raw, SmackDown and pay-per-view programming produced at Tropicana Field will be done so on closed sets with essential personnel in attendance only.
The company will additionally continue to administer its health and safety protocols for talent, crew and employees in conjunction with each production, including PCR testing for COVID-19, social distancing and wearing masks.”
WWE’s residency at Amway began in August and will wrap up in early December before NBA games resume. MLB action at Tropicana Field is not expected to begin until April.
