WWE And Mauro Ranallo Reportedly Parting Ways

WWE and Mauro Ranallo are parting ways, according to Dave Meltzer.

The news comes shortly after it has been learned that WWE and Wade Barrett are negotiating a contract for him to return permanently as a member of the NXT broadcast team.

Details surrounding Ranallo’s departure are currently not known.

Ranallo missed NXT TakeOver XXX and last week’s show on the USA Network, following a family matter. He will be replaced by Barrett on tomorrow night’s show on the USA network.

Ranallo has been with WWE since 2015. He was on SmackDown until he essentially quit the brand following bullying allegations against John “Bradshaw” Layfield in 2017. The allegations resulted in depression as Ranallo has been public about his issues with mental illness as he suffers from bipolar affective disorder. He and WWE agreed to part ways in April 2017, with Ranallo saying his departure had nothing to do with JBL.

In June 2017, he returned as NXT’s lead commentator, a position he held until a couple of weeks ago.
