Vince McMahon runs WWE in any way he sees fit and he has his own ideas regarding various things that go on in the company. This includes the concept of wins and losses.
Jeff Hardy was destroyed by Lars Sullivan on last week’s Friday Night Smackdown. It was the last time Hardy worked there as he had already been drafted to RAW that week.
According to a report by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Vince McMahon’s mindset regarding the way Hardy was beaten is unique. According to him, as Hardy is a Superstar on RAW, his old losses on Smackdown are irrelevant.
“The mentality of beating a top guy like Hardy so decisive is that once you switch brands all your losses don’t count. Whether that’s the case in real life, that is how they view it.”
