Tony Schiavone is coming to All Elite Wrestling, according to Mike Johnson.
Schiavone, who is under a two-year contract with Major League Wrestling, will continue to do color commentary for MLW. It was originally believed the aforementioned contract would prevent Schiavone from working anywhere outside of MLW. Court Bauer was actually unaware that Schiavone was going to be involved in AEW’s “Road to All Out” online series, which was done back in May. At the time, Bauer claimed he learned of his involvement while reading an issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
In May, Schiavone was believed to be just helping out Cody Rhodes. His upcoming role with AEW is currently unknown. AEW’s broadcast team is currently comprised of Jim Ross, Excalibur and Alex Marvez. Alicia Atout and Chris Van Vliet are on board as backstage interviewers.
Schiavone has not been featured on TNT, which will house AEW’s weekly live TV series, since he left with World Championship Wrestling in 2001.
