# Send a tip

URL: https://wrestlingnews.com/tip/

Do you know something we do not? A signing, an injury, a change to a card, a backstage story. Tell us here. Wrestlers, staff, crew, promoters and fans are all welcome to send tips.

Tips are handled privately. Only our newsroom reads them. We protect our sources and never name one without their say-so. You can stay anonymous: tick the box and we save no name and no email address with your tip.

## The form

The page has a form. A person fills it in on the web page. These are its fields:

- What is the tip about? (required): A few words (3 to 120 characters): a name, a show, a signing, an injury.
- What do you know? (required): Who, what, when, and how you know it (20 to 5000 characters).
- Link or proof (optional): A link to a post, photo or document, or a note about what you have (up to 500 characters).
- Keep me anonymous (optional checkbox): If ticked, no name and no email address is saved with the tip.
- Your name (optional): Left out when you tick anonymous.
- Email to reply to (optional): Only used if the newsroom needs to ask you something. Left out when you tick anonymous.

Tips are saved privately by the newsroom and sent to tips@wrestlingnews.com. Nothing is published as sent.
An AI tool cannot send a tip for a person. To send one, a person uses the form on the web page or writes to tips@wrestlingnews.com.

## What happens next

1. Your tip goes to our newsroom, and a private copy is saved so it cannot get lost.
2. We try to confirm it with a second source or with the people involved. This takes time. Not every tip becomes a story.
3. If we cannot confirm it but it is worth telling, we label it a rumor and say how solid it is. If we cannot stand it up at all, it does not run.
4. If you gave a reply address, we may write to ask a question. We will never publish it.

## What helps most

- Who and what, with dates, names and places.
- How you know. Were you there, or did someone tell you?
- Anything we can look at: a link, a photo, a document, a screenshot. If you have a file, say so in the link or proof box and we will tell you how to send it.
- Whether it is still a secret. If an announcement is coming, say when.

## Your privacy

We do not save your IP address with your tip. To stop spam, the form keeps a scrambled code of your connection for about an hour, and a repeat of the same text is counted once. Like any website, our web host may keep basic server records of visits. See the [Privacy page](https://wrestlingnews.com/privacy/). We cannot promise legal protection for a source, so think about what you share and how.
