Three More WWE Stars Not Working WrestleMania 36? (Updated)

Plans for WrestleMania 36 continue to change as we learn of many WWE stars who did not compete in their scheduled matches at this week’s tapings.

According to new reports, Murphy, Cesaro, and Asuka will not compete or appear on what’s supposed to be the biggest card of the year.

Murphy was slated to be in Seth Rollins’ corner, while Cesaro was likely be in Sami Zayn’s corner for his impending Intercontinental Championship match.

Asuka and Kairi Sane were expected to defend the Women’s Tag Team Championship against Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross. Tonight’s SmackDown was supposed to set that up as Bliss will face Asuka one-on-one.

While WWE may be throwing everyone for a loop to try and protect their WrestleMania plans, it appears many matches have now been affected by concerns over the coronavirus pandemic.

As previously noted within the last 24 hours, Roman Reigns, The Miz, and Andrade were all removed from their scheduled title matches.

March 27th 7:30pm EDT UPDATE: WrestlingInc has since retracted their report that Asuka and Cesaro did not compete at WrestleMania. Updated reports state that they were both used during the tapings.
