The sale of the XFL to Alpha Acquico, LLC, the company formed by The Rock and his partners to acquire the league, has been approved.
U.S. District Court Judge Laurie Silverstein approved the deal in a hearing held with the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors for Alpha Entertainment, who filed opposition to sale. The creditors were satisfied with the terms of a modified agreement of the league’s purchase and withdrew their objection.
The deal is expected to close at the end of August.
Additionally, former XFL Commissioner Oliver Luck’s lawsuit against Vince McMahon received court approval to continue forward.
