> Tony Khan told the Jacksonville crowd after Dynamite's Blood and Guts on Nov. 4 that it was the most tickets AEW has sold there in seven years. WrestleTix, via Power-Wrestling, counted 5,223 people.

## The quick version

- Tony Khan addressed the crowd after Dynamite went off the air on Wednesday, Nov. 4, at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville.
- He said AEW had done 86 live shows in the city and that night was "the most tickets we have ever sold in seven years in AEW in Jacksonville."
- WrestleTix, as cited by Power-Wrestling, counted 5,223 fans. AEW has not given its own figure in the sources we read.

AEW president Tony Khan said Blood and Guts sold more tickets in Jacksonville than any AEW show there since the company began. He spoke to the crowd after the Nov. 4 Dynamite went off the air. Steve Gerweck of Gerweck.net posted the video and wrote down the quote on Nov. 5.

## What Khan said

As Gerweck transcribed it: "We have done eighty-six live shows in Jacksonville and tonight is the most tickets we have ever sold in seven years in AEW in Jacksonville."

AEW is based in Jacksonville. AEW's event page described Blood and Guts as coming to the city "for the first time ever."

## The count

Power-Wrestling (Marcus Holzer) reports that 5,223 people attended, according to WrestleTix, at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena. It says that is a similar number to last year's Blood and Guts in Greensboro, North Carolina. WrestleTix is an outside ticket tracker, not AEW, and we have not seen AEW confirm the figure or say how many tickets were sold.

## What is not clear

SEScoops' headline summary says Khan announced the show "sold more tickets than any other live AEW show in the last seven years." That is broader than the quote Gerweck posted, which is about Jacksonville. We could not load the SEScoops article, so we are using the quote, not the summary. We have not heard the full video ourselves.

## Context

Blood and Guts aired on TBS and HBO Max as a Dynamite special. For the result, see our [Blood and Guts results story](https://wrestlingnews.com/story/aew-blood-and-guts-results-nov-4/).
