> NJPW made 7 matches official for Wrestle Kingdom 21 on Jan. 4 at the Tokyo Dome, led by champion Yota Tsuji vs. AEW's Kenny Omega for the IWGP Heavyweight Title.

## The quick version

- Wrestle Kingdom 21 is Jan. 4, 2027, at the Tokyo Dome.
- Seven matches are official after a press conference following Power Struggle.
- No IWGP Tag Team Title match is announced yet.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling has made seven matches official for Wrestle Kingdom 21 on Jan. 4, 2027, at the Tokyo Dome, according to POST Wrestling and 411Mania. The main event is IWGP Heavyweight Champion Yota Tsuji against Kenny Omega.

## The card so far

- Yota Tsuji (c) vs. Kenny Omega, IWGP Heavyweight Championship
- Gabe Kidd (c) vs. Yuya Uemura, IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship
- Jon Moxley vs. Shingo Takagi, Unbound Deathmatch
- Will Ospreay vs. Callum Newman
- MJF vs. Ryohei Oiwa
- YOH (c) vs. SHO, IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship
- Three-way for the vacant IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Titles: Robbie X and Taiji Ishimori vs. Kosei Fujita and Robbie Eagles vs. Mistico and a partner to be announced

## How these matches got here

Omega earned his shot by winning a three-way match over Tsuji and Boltin Oleg at Power Struggle on Nov. 3. Kidd kept the Global title that night by beating Taichi, then named Uemura as his Dome opponent. The junior tag titles are vacant because Ishimori and Robbie X won the Super Junior Tag League final, per POST.

POST notes MJF will be wrestling in an NJPW ring for the first time. On the junior title match, both outlets say SHO must leave House of Torture and reunite with YOH as Roppongi 3K if he loses. 411Mania adds that YOH must leave NJPW if he loses.

## Tsuji's take

NJPW's own site quotes Tsuji after the announcement. "To me this is an all out NJPW vs AEW war, and one I must win," he said, according to NJPW.

## What to watch

The IWGP Tag Team Titles are not on the seven announced matches, and one junior tag partner is still unnamed. Expect more additions before January.
