WWE has emphasized an “In Your Face” theme for Monday Night Raw in preparation for Raw going head-to-head with Monday Night Football. Several big matches have been announced for the show:

- Mickie James vs. Asuka (c) for the Raw Women’s Championship
- Dominik Mysterio vs. Seth Rollins in a Steel Cage match
