SmackDown Season Premiere To Feature Universal Title Match, New Day Farewell

Following the WWE Draft, the October 16th edition of Friday Night SmackDown will serve as the season premiere featuring a refreshed roster.

Headlining the show will be Braun Strowman challenging Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship. As noted, Reigns is slated to defend against Jey Uso in an “I Quit” Hell in a Cell match later this month.

Additionally, The New Day will have their “SmackDown farewell” match against Sheamus, Cesaro, and Shinsuke Nakamura. New SmackDown Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have been drafted to Raw, while Big E will remain on SmackDown.
