Below are news & notes from this week’s WWE NXT:
– Io Shirai and Candice LeRae qualified for the women’s number one contender’s Ladder Match with respective wins over Aliyah and Kayden Carter. Shirai replaced Xia Li after Li was attacked backstage.
– Shirai, LeRae, Mia Yim, Tegan Nox, Chelsea Green, and one more participant will compete in the Ladder Match in two weeks on the April 8th episode.
– Next week’s episode will feature a “second chance gauntlet” to determine the final spot in the Ladder Match. Below is the line-up so far for April 1st:
- Xia Li vs. Deonna Purrazzo vs. Dakota Kai vs. Aliyah vs. Kayden Carter vs. Shotzi Blackheart – Second Chance Gauntlet
- Velveteen Dream vs. Bobby Fish
- Damian Priest vs. Dominik Dijakovic vs. Keith Lee (c) – NXT North American Championship
– Tehuti Miles made his NXT TV debut in a losing effort against Killian Dain.
– Rinku Singh & Saurav Gurjar made their NXT debuts alongside manager Malcolm Bivens (fka Stokely Hathaway). The duo attacked Matt Riddle after his win over Roderick Strong.

– After Triple H announced that Johnny Gargano vs. Tommaso Ciampa would take place on the April 8th episode of NXT at an undisclosed location, Killer Kross made his presence known with a new vignette on the Tron. There’s no word yet on how he will factor into this feud, if at all.
