Rusev Finished With Professional Wrestling?

Former WWE Superstar Rusev, who now goes by Miro, stated during a Twitch Q&A he is finished wrestling and is no longer a wrestler.

Miro explained he’s a professional Twitcher, YouTuber and content creator.

Miro, whose real name is Miroslav Barnyashev, is officially a free agent following his WWE release in April and has strong interest from All Elite Wrestling. It is also believed he has an opportunity with New Japan Pro Wrestling.

During an interview with ESPN, Cody Rhodes mentioned Miro as an AEW target. He also mentioned Matt Cardona (f/k/a Zack Ryder) who debuted for AEW on this week’s Dynamite.

WWE recently reached out to some released talent about returning. While it is unknown if Miro was one of these workers, he recently spoke about having a nice text conversation with Vince McMahon.

Miro, 35, worked for WWE from 2010-2020. He has not had a match since February, with his last documented bout being a tag team match with Humberto Carillo vs. Bobby Lashley and Angel Garza on the Feb. 17, 2020 episode of Raw. Miro and Humberto went under in the match.
