Roman Reigns Faction, WWE Stars Supporting Biden?, Sami Zayn Annoying, NXT vs. Dynamite

Is WWE really planning to do a heel stable with Roman Reigns as its leader?

It is funny how rumors go in the wrestling world. Last week, the rumor was Roman Reigns would be working programs with both Uso brothers and possibly The Rock and now, he could be forming a stable with the Usos. We will see how things go but I have seen the memes from WWE video games where players have created stables featuring Reigns, the Usos and The Rock. Roman’s run with Paul Heyman has been great. There is no need to rush anything as the correct move is to let the turn progress naturally. It was not long ago when people wanted Reigns to be revealed as the leader of Retribution. Could you imagine how damaging that would have been?

Will WWE ever be forced to legally employee their talent?

WWE performers are employees but legally, they are independent contractors. The designation is ironclad and has won every time when challenged in court. As long as the Trump administration is in control in the United States, this will not change. If Trump would somehow lose the 2020 US presidential election and Andrew Yang gets appointed labor security, WWE could face its biggest challenge yet to how it classifies talent. However, even if WWE had to fight Andrew Yang, Vince McMahon would likely deploy his significant resources to fight it. The best way to stop the designation is to stop signing the contracts. I will maintain that stance.

Was Sami Zayn really considered annoying when he first got to WWE?

Sami said when he first got to WWE in his late 20s, the company had to make him aware of some of his actions. What he perceived as funny, others perceived as annoying. The WWE locker room is not an easy place to get over. Zayn is not the first person to have a difficult time adapting and he won’t be the last. When The Miz first got there, they would not even let him change there. He was seen as the reality TV guy who had not earned his spot. Zayn was seen as a guy who was well accomplished outside of WWE but it did not mean a lot to others. He made the changes and things are just fine now. The Miz is another talent who learned for his experience and has gone on to have a very successful career.

Why did it take NXT so incorporate virtual fans? The atmosphere at Takeover was much better.

I thought all along NXT should have utilized video boards with fans. I still do not see the problem putting them in the ThunderDome, other than to differentiate the brand from Raw and SmackDown. The rumor is WWE wanted to keep them separate to limit possible COVID-19 exposures. Whatever the case, NXT is better with fans. WWE needed to do something with AEW continuing to grow its viewership so perhaps this will help close the gap in viewership.
