Rob Gronkowski Reportedly Done With WWE

Rob Gronkowski is said to be done with WWE.

WrestlingINC reports that Gronkowski is no longer under contract with WWE following Monday’s Raw where he lost the 24/7 Championship to R-Truth.

The sudden departure came after he exercised a release clause in wake of his return to the NFL to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Gronkowski signed with WWE in March and served as the host for WrestleMania 36. During the two-night event, he captured the 24/7 Championship and has since been dubbed the longest-reigning title holder.

The report also states that Gronk was expected to work a match at SummerSlam, but that is now off the table. While he could make WWE appearances in the future, he will not be wrestling in WWE or elsewhere at this time.
