Original Plans For Chelsea Green’s Main Roster Debut

Chelsea Green debuted on Friday Night Smackdown last week. Unfortunately, he suffered a broken wrist when she fell off the apron during the match. She subsequently had surgery for her injury the next day. Since then she has started rehabilitating.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that Green was going to win the fatal four-way Survivor Series qualifier match against Natalya, Tamina Snuka, and Liv Morgan. The plans were changed following Green’s injury and it was Morgan who ultimately won the match.

Morgan was said to be the original choice to win the match until “Vince McMahon tore up the script” on Thursday night. The original plans stated that the match was going to be a triple threat match and Green would not be in it. However, “someone suggested to Vince” that Green was fit for her Smackdown debut and then it was made into a fatal four-way match.

Meltzer also added that Green was actually going to make her debut on Monday Night RAW around the time Paul Heyman was the Executive Director of the brand. However, those plans were scrapped after Heyman was fired from his position.
