New Japan Pro Wrestling Announces Events For This Summer

In a special conference late Monday night, New Japan Pro Wrestling Chairman Naoki Sugabayashi announced that NJPW will return with crowd-less events on June 15-17, June 22-24 and July 1-3.

These events will stream on NJPW World as the New Japan Cup will now take place from June 16th through July 3rd. Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Kota Ibushi and Sho vs. Shingo Takagi will highlight the tournament, with the finals taking place on July 11 at Osaka-Jo Hall.

The winner of this year’s tournament will challenge Tetsuya Naito for both the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championships.
