WWE continues to make subtle changes to its roster.
PWInsider reported on Wednesday that Mustafa Ali has internally been moved from SmackDown to Raw. There’s no word yet on why the change was made, though Ali has been off of TV since February.
Ali was heavily speculated to be behind the recent hacker gimmick on SmackDown, but this seemingly confirms he is not being used in that role.
Over the last few months, WWE has moved Mojo Rawley and AJ Styles to SmackDown, while Apollo Crews was moved to Raw for a push. Matt Riddle will transition from NXT to SmackDown on Friday’s new episode.
