Major Change To Universal Championship Match At WrestleMania 36

Pro Wrestling Sheet has exclusively reported a major change to the WWE Universal Championship match at WrestleMania 36.

According to the report, Roman Reigns will not be challenging Goldberg for SmackDown’s top title in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

Reigns, who is a two-time leukemia survivor, expressed his concerns to WWE about how he’s immunocompromised and didn’t want to risk his health by doing anymore shows at the Performance Center.

Below are direct quotes from the report:

“Sources with knowledge of the situation tell us Reigns expressed to WWE that he didn’t feel comfortable doing anymore of the Performance Center shows during the coronavirus pandemic because he’s immunocompromised from his battle with leukemia and didn’t want to risk his health.

We’re told WWE honored his request and he will now be replaced by someone else in the match against Goldberg, though it’s unclear who at this time.”

WrestleMania 36 was rumored to be taped on Wednesday and Thursday, but there’s no word yet on who challenged Goldberg for the Universal Championship.

Stay tuned for the latest developments.
