Impact Wrestling Results & Reactions – 7/21/2020

X-Division Championship Match: Chris Bey (c) def. Willie Mack via pinfall to retain. Bey controlled most of this Slammiversary rematch with his new-found confidence helping him keep hold of his gold.

The Good Brothers appeared in the ring to declare they have arrived in Impact Wrestling. They credit themselves for Slammiversary being the #1 trend and tout how their shirts sold out immediately. Ace Austin & Madman Fulton interrupted to demand an apology. A brawl breaks out and The Good Brothers stand tall.

Backstage, Heath tries to get into the building, but his name isn’t on the list. Meanwhile, Rhino is busy arguing with Hernandez and misses Heath’s call.

In the dressing room, Rohit Raju interrupts Chris Bey having drinks with two women. Raju proposes a toast and offers to be his partner before leaving.

Havok & Nevaeh def. Kiera Hogan & Tasha Steelz by DQ when Tasha used a chair on Havok. Havok & Nevaeh stood tall following the competitive match.

Flashback Moment of the Week highlights Eddie Edwards beating Bobby Lashley to capture his first TNA World Title.

Backstage, Sami Callihan blames Ken Shamrock for the loss at Slammiversary. Shamrock knows it and tells Callihan to talk to him next week.

Rob Van Dam and Katie Forbes talk about how much has changed lately. Forbes says we’ll see photos of her without clothing next week.

Rhino def. Hernandez in a squash with a Gore. Rhino caught Hernandez off guard while he was taking off his shirt.

Backstage, The North talks about decimating the tag division and being the longest-reigning champions in Impact history. They say if Motor City Machine Guns are the best in the world, then they’ll take the titles off of them tonight.

A brief vignette aired for Brian Meyers, formerly known as Curt Hawkins.

Deonna Purrazzo is interviewed outside her locker room and is interrupted by Kylie Rae. Kylie reminds her that she is number one contender. Deonna fakes a hand shake and tries to apply the armbar before Alisha Edwards and Kimber Lee break them up.

New World Champion Eddie Edwards appears in the ring and says it feels great to be champion again. The last time the World Title was defended was five months ago, and that’s going to change. Eddie promises to defend the World Title each and every week. His new journey is to bring stability and credibility back to the Impact World Championship. Eric Young interrupts and says Eddie should be thanking him for what he did to Rich Swann. EY and Eddie break out into a brawl.

Moose is interviewed backstage about Eddie’s statement on being a fighting champion. Moose talks about potential opponents and ends up challenging Fallah Bahh to a title match.

Eddie Edwards is asked if he has a first challenger in mind. Trey walks up and challenges Eddie to a match next week.

TNA World Championship Match: Moose (c) def. Fallah Bahh via spear to “retain” his title after a brief match. During Moose’s celebration, EC3 slid in the ring, dropped Moose, and left. It looks like EC3’s first feud will be with Moose.

Outside, The Good Brothers run into Ace & Fulton before being jumped by Reno Scum. The heels take off quickly.

Rosemary visits John E. Bravo’s bachelors pad. Rosemary thinks they are alone until Taya Valkyrie comes downstairs. Rosemary says three’s a party, so she “snaps” in Kylie Rae, The Deaners, XXXL, Alisha Edwards, Crazzy Steve, Johnny Swinger, and Susie to make it a real party. “Wrestle House” comes to Impact next week.

Impact Tag Team Championship Match: Motor City Machine Guns def. The North (c) to become new champions. The North controlled the match early on before Sabin & Shelley battled back to vcitory. The finish saw Sabin roll Page up during The North’s finisher, while Shelley held Alexander back from breaking the pin.

This is MCMG’s second Tag Team Championship reign, ending The North’s historic reign at 382 days.

During the post-credit segment, Heath catches the door as Jimmy Jacobs leaves the building.
