Madison Square Garden announced today that WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin will appear at the September 9th episode of WWE RAW from the venue in New York City.
This will be the go-home to WWE Clash of the Champions pay-per-view episode of RAW.
“I cannot believe it has been so long. Time flies by. The Garden is home to many of my favorite moments in my career. @BretHart in #survivorseries @undertaker in #summerslam #highwaytohell and stunning @VinceMcMahon for the very first time. Along with many others. Hell Yeah!,” Austin tweeted.
The Undertaker has been announced for the September 10th episode of SmackDown the following night from MSG.
While it was originally believed these top names were added the help ticket sales, that does not appear to be the case. At least for Undertaker, he was planned to be on the show for quite some time and the announcement was just delayed. I would expect it was similar for Austin but no confirmation at press time.
