At Crown Jewel tomorrow, WWE has announced a historic match between Natalya and Lacey Evans will be taking place from the event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is significant and historic in that this will be the first time in Saudi Arabia history that women will be performing inside a WWE ring in the country. This will also be the first time women will be able to compete in a sporting event, as women are banned from participating in sports in Saudi Arabia, despite being able to represent the country at the Olympics for the very first time in 2016.

This announcement comes on the heels of June’s Super Showdown event, which was set to feature a match between Natalya and Alexa Bliss, but was pulled at the last minute as the Crown Prince backed out of agreeing to have the match.
WWE Crown Jewel coverage begins at 12pm EST on October 31st, with the event officially starting at 1pm EST.
