Exclusive Details On Terms Of MVP’s New WWE Contract, AEW Interest, End Of “Bidding Wars” Between Promotions

It was announced over the weekend that WWE Superstar MVP had signed a new multiyear agreement with the company. After a long absence from the company, MVP returned as a surprise entrant in the 2020 WWE Royal Rumble.

Shortly after he returned, MVP signed a six month contract in early February, which recently expired. MVP had received interest from AEW, but talks didn’t get very far as MVP strongly preferred to stay with WWE after having been given a strong push in recent months, as well as getting to work with close friends Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin.

The new deal with WWE is said to be for two years, with a downside guarantee in the $400,000 range, which in the current climate was said to be a strong offer as the big bidding wars in 2019 seem to be a thing of the past as WWE and AEW adjust to conducting business while being unable to sell tickets.
