Does AEW Pay Dirt Sheets?, How To Fix Raw, Greatest Match Of All Time, Cody’s Future

What are your thoughts on AEW as a whole?

AEW has a lot of promise with a great talent roster and a very involved owner. Like WWE, they put out some good content and some bad content. They have grown over the past year and had it not been for the COVID-19 pandemic, I believe they would eclipse weekly viewership of one million viewers. Tony Khan is in tune with things and seems to be a talent friendly owner. My problem with AEW is actually more of a pet peeve – the IWC has too much positive bias towards them. There are some who believe AEW is actually paying dirt sheets for positive press. I cannot confirm that but I will say some writers have an obvious AEW bias and it is embarrassing.

How do you fix the mess that’s Monday Night Raw. There’s nothing good on that show.

Raw has struggled throughout the COVID-19 pandemic from a creative standpoint. Some believe it is due to the departure of Paul Heyman as executive director. I personally believe the struggles can be directly correlated to the third hour. Three hours each week is too much to fill and as a result, we get a lot of bad content. Three hours of Raw is not going anywhere anytime soon for as long as the USA Network is willing to pay WWE for it. Sometimes less is more and Raw would benefit greatly by being reduced to two hours.

What would you consider the greatest wrestling match of all-time?

This is a subjective question we could debate forever with no definitive conclusion. I have two favorites I re-watch often. Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin at WrestleMania 13 and The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 25. Older fans will point to Ricky Steamboat vs. Ric Flair, which is another worth strong consideration.

Will Cody start using the Rhodes last name in AEW?

If Cody is able to secure the rights to the Rhodes last name, it would be best if he used it on AEW TV. Most fans refer to him as Cody Rhodes anyway so it only makes sense to start using it again.
