Did AJ Styles Successfully Defend WWE Intercontinental Championship?

AJ Styles beat Gran Metalik in a WWE Intercontinental Championship match on this week’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown.

The match was booked to make it look like Metalik had a chance with Lince Dorado in his corner. There were some good near falls and a lot of fun spots. Ultimately, Styles hit the Calf Crusher to win the match in just over 14 minutes.
