Sasha Banks was scheduled to defend her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Bayley on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Banks successfully retained her title after a hard-fought match. However, she also found her new challenger in a way she did not expect as Carmella returned to the blue brand.
Following the conclusion of the match, Carmella came out all of a sudden and kicked Sasha in the face as she crumpled to the floor. Carmella sported a new look and ring gear.
Several reports had suggested that WWE is currently planning on giving Carmella a big push and it seems that is exactly what will happen.
Banks will face Asuka at Survivor Series, but it seems we now know who has her sights set on Banks’ championship.
