AEW Full Gear featured an Elite Deletion match as Matt Hardy and Sammy Guevara’s rivalry reached a boiling point. It was a cinematic match and had several moments. The match ended with Hardy throwing Guevara into a trash bin. A lot went into making this match it seems.
According to a report by Fightful Select, the Elite Deletion match was filmed a week in advance. It was also said that “several wrestlers involved” had “heavy input” regarding what they could do in the match. No specific individual was credited for their involvement in the match, so it was more of a collective effort.
With the excellent reception of the Elite Deletion match by fans and wrestlers alike, we might see another cinematic match in the future.
