Backstage News On Major Return At WWE Clash Of Champions

Luke Harper received the call to return to WWE at Clash of Champions on Friday, according to Dave Meltzer.

So while his return was not last-minute, it was certainly late in the pay-per-view planning process.

Mike Johnson adds Harper was not listed on the format sheet for Clash of the Champions and was hidden until just before Roman Reigns vs. Rowan. He was not seen by his peers prior to making his return.

There were some — including Dave Meltzer at one point — that believed Harper could be finished with WWE for good.

Harper returned at the pay-per-view to help Rowan in his No Disqualification against Reigns. He has been off WWE TV since April after returning from injury. He had reportedly requested his release from WWE after WrestleMania 35.
