It seems AJ Styles did not have a good relationship with former Raw Executive Director Paul Heyman during his time on the red brand.
During a recent Mixer stream, AJ Styles denied the rumors that he was being bullied in the locker room, which was one of the reported reasons for why he was moved back to SmackDown.
Styles stated that he, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson know that Heyman is a liar, but didn’t emphasize on why. There were also rumors that Styles blamed Heyman for Gallows and Anderson being released in April, although it was reportedly a Vince McMahon decision.
You can read his comments below:
“There were some rumors that AJ Styles left Raw to go to SmackDown because he was being bullied. That may be the dumbest thing I ever heard. I’m a grown man. If there was some bullying going on that upset me enough to leave Raw and go to SmackDown, I would handle it. Whether or not I still got my tail beat, I’d still handle it because I’m a grown man. I’ll just throw that out there. When it comes to the rumor of Paul Heyman and me being upset with him because he didn’t take out for Gallows and Anderson, that’s not what it was at all, not even close. I’ll give you a snippet of what me, Gallows and Anderson already know. [Heyman’s] a liar. Now you know and I’m sure you know going back to his ECW days. He’s a bold-faced lair. That’s my take on it.”
