AEW star Jimmy Havoc is among the list of names being accused of assault within the pro wrestling industry.
After a number of stories were revealed on Twitter during the #SpeakingOut movement, AEW addressed Havoc’s status with the following statement:
We wish Jimmy Havoc all the best as he receives treatment and counseling in an effort to overcome the mental health and substance abuse challenges in his life. pic.twitter.com/mh0hudsPuW
— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) June 19, 2020
It does not appear that Havoc has been released at this time, but that he is receiving help for his mental health and apparent substance abuse, all of which may have been a contributing factor in the alleged abuse. It’s also worth noting that Havoc isn’t the only AEW star being accused of heinous behavior, but those accusations have yet to be addressed.
This is AEW’s first statement to come out after WWE released Jack Gallagher, issued statements on Jordan Devlin and Matt Riddle, and NWA parted ways with David Lagana.
