– Kris Statlander defeated Britt Baker to become number one contender to the AEW Women’s Championship. As a result, Statlander will challenge Riho on the New Year’s Day edition of Dynamite.
– Also confirmed for the 1/1 show is Cody vs. Darby Allin in a rematch from Fyter Fest. This comes after the duo defeated The Blade & The Butcher in a tag match.
– Alex Reynolds & John Silver have officially joined The Dark Order faction.
– Colt Cabana served as the guest commentator for AEW Dark. The following matches were taped for the Christmas Eve edition:

- Santana & Ortiz def. The Hybrid 2, Private Party & Best Friends
