Big Update On John Cena’s Upcoming Movie Roles

With John Cena not working WWE TLC last Sunday, a full calendar year has passed without him wrestling on one of their pay-per-views. Cena is busy doing his best impression of Dwayne Johnson as he has several film projects in the works.

Below is a quick look at his films slated for release next year:

Project X-Traction: Cena teams with Jackie Chan in an action thriller directed by Scott Waugh. Here’s a quick synopsis: When a China-run oil refinery is attacked in Mosul, Iraq, a Chinese private security contractor (Jackie Chan) is called in to extract the oil workers. He learns, however, that the attackers’ real plan is to steal a fortune in oil, and he must team up with a former U.S. Marine (John Cena) to stop them.

DoLittle: Cena voices Yoshi the Polar Bear, which will debut on 1/17/20. We have the trailer embedded above.

Fast & Furious 9: The film is slated to be released on 4/10/20 and Cena will play an unknown role.

John is currently filming the role of Peacemaker in The Suicide Squad, which will be released in 2021. After that wraps, he’ll film his role in a comedy called Vacation Friends.
